I have prepared a small comparison chart to help you see at a glance which island is best for some key activities. I've included a number of different things to let you know which island is best for which activities. I've also included thinks like privacy and quietness and air quality. If you have breathing problems, you probably don't want to go to the Big Island because of "vog" (which is volcano smog).

You can use this chart to get an overview of the islands. (The scale I have used is 1 to 5, with 1 being the best).  There is but a simpler way is just to tell me what is important for your trip, and I'll recommend which island and where you might want to stay.
